random commands inputted

Is it normal for commands to be auto-entered?

About once every 10 seconds a command gets entered automatically.

Last 10+ commands

This activity caused my upload to fault. It issues these commands even if there is no activity. I have not seen this type of behavior with other ftp clients.

This is the keep-alive feature. It sends those command so that the connection does not get closed due to inacticity.

Those commands aren't sent on ftp connections which have active transfers.
FileZilla will in most cases create a new, completely independant connection to the server for the file transfers. So the keep alive commands on the primary channel don't have any effect on the transfer.

Your transfer did abort to another reason.

Couldn't the program keep alive with only PWD or even silently?

It seems very yucky to have all those commands going on.

Great program otherwise. :D
