Unable to Connect to FTP server,Help please

Hello,ive been useing filezilla for long time now.useing for gaming servers
last gaming server company i went threw had same problem till i used sftp-ssh2 and i was able to connect now they stoped supporting the game i play and had to go threw a different company.and i cant connect at all with them.dialog just says connecting to blah blah.then unable to connect.

i use Mcafee secruity suit.i didnt install spam blocker cause i hate it

i have privicy service disabled,firewall i have ports 20-22 open for ftp

ive also tried disableing all of mcafee and still no go.

windows firewall is off.

and the first company i went threw had me call my isp.i talked to them said they dont limit or anything (iam on dail up)and told me to call mcafee
so i talked to them we went threw a few steps and no go.and told me to call my isp lol.

so iam thinking that its something with my computer blocking ftp or something? and i cant use internet explorer ethier takes me to the page and it says

ftp folder error
windows cannot access this folder,make sure you tped the name correctly and that you have permission to access the folder

i log in and says same thing.

i can connect after restart my computer? but then its says unable to connect after a bit?

and it just started doing that after i took mcafee off of system and startup..>man i hate computers,but damn there fun lol<

but i do have windows firewall running now..and found some tips on mircosoft site but they didnt work.ya gotta have some kind of pertection.
