#1 Post by braulio » 2004-06-14 00:13

I installed filezilla on my laptop. I am running it on windows xp. I am unable to get the program to launch. It launched once. But it has not launched after that first time. I need some help. What is going on ?

What you mean you can't launch?

It crashes on start, or you don't know how-to connect to server to get it to work?

I'ts difficult to guess what exactly doesn't work from here.
If you provide more info, We'll try to help you more.

I have the same problem

I have this same problem. I specifically looked up this forum in order to try to find an answer, because I like filezilla-- I have it running on my desktop PC and it runs fine there.

The problem is this: on my laptop the program will not load. I pull up the Task Manager and I can see the process for the application show up very briefly, but then it disappears. And the program does not come up.

What is funny is that the program originally ran okay on this laptop. I don't know what happened, but something must have changed and the next time I tried to fire the thing up it would not load. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but that does not work. I am running Windows XP.

Sorry, I just figured this out by reading the FAQ. I renamed my XML file and the program fired right up.

Reformat your hard drive and do a fresh install of XP. Unless FZ doesn't run there as either, something else on your system is broken.
