Problems Downloading files with Firezilla - OSX 10.8.2

I recently installed FIrezilla on a computer running OSX 10.8.2. I have been able to upload files to a server. I am not able to download files. Here is a log of my recent activity:

Yes. The error is on the local side. You are simply no longer allowed to store files and directories into the root of your Mac system. AFAIK that was a recent change. If you select your profile as local destination the files should transfer over.

Thanks for the reply. The "profile" of which you write, is that a Firezilla setting or a system setting? Where can I find it to change it?

The profile is your user profile, where your documents etc. reside. There you have full permissions to read and write. By the way, the change I spoke of is something your OS distributor did, not FileZilla. Here under Windows the system root is protected, too.
