Hi
I am uploading a large file to my web server using FileZilla. The problem is that the server or FileZilla disconnects before the upload has finished. How do I fix this please?

FileZilla never interrupts transfers without your intervention. If the connection breaks (server or network interruption) FileZilla will automatically resume. So, unless the server does not support resume it shouldn't be a problem.

Ok, if FileZilla does not interrupt transfers without my intervention, then how do I resume the upload? I have to connect to the server again (which I have done) but not sure how to resume where I left off. Thank you kindly.
Re: Server or FileZilla disconnects before upload completes
You shouldn't have to do anything, FileZilla will automatically resume transfers if the server supports it.
If it fails to resume I can imagine two reasons:
1. The server does indeed not support resuming, or the server administrator has it disabled. But even then, FileZilla should not stop right away, it will simply restart the transfer from the beginning. In other words, you will see looping transfers.
2. Some servers out there have bugs in their FTP response code handling. Especially, if the server sends a 5xx error code instead of the correct 4xx one, shit hits the fan. Since an error code 5xx means ''Permanent error'', FileZilla will send that transfer to the Failed transfers tab right away.
Could you please post a log?
