Support for NTML AUTH for HTTP proxy ?

#1 Post by povlhp » 2004-06-28 16:38

I am at a workplace where we use MS ISA server as a proxy towards the Internet, and we only allow NTLM Authentication against the HTTP proxy.

Is there anyway to enable support for that ? Mozilla Firefox has gotten it, and there is a standalone python program APS (A Proxy Server I think) that also supports it, so the code for it is availble.

If nobody else has added it, can anybody tell me if it is worth the trouble to write patches and submit ? I need it in the main tree since our operations department will not support self-compiles code.

We are in the same proxy situation and would also like to see this feature in FZ. The only ftp client (other than IE) that I know of that supports NTLM authentication is curl (curl.haxx.se). Unfortunately, it requires username/password to be passed as parameters (as opposed to passing credentials automatically as IE does).

Does anyone know of any other FTP clients that support NTLM authentication?
