550 The system cannot find the file specified.

#1 Post by leachdog1 » 2013-02-25 14:19

I had a client who uploaded 4 similar files to my ftp. All files transfered to the FTP fine, but one of the files was corrupted. They re-named the file and tried again. transfer went fine, but file is still corrupted. We did this excercise one more time before we agreed to a work around. However, now I can not delete these 3 corrupted files from the ftp. I am getting the error message "550 The system cannot find the file specified" for all 3 files when I try to delete.

Any thoughts on how to delete the files? This is a shared FTP and I do not want corrupted files to live on the directories.

any help would be appreciated.

thank you

Can only be done by the server administrator, as, obviously, this is some kind of server issue.
