can´t get directory list from server

#1 Post by zero.23 » 2004-07-03 10:17

Hi !!!

I have a problem with my filezilla ftp server (0.9.0): everytime the user tries to connect the login is okay, but he cannot get the directory list.
[system: win xp professional]

leech-ftp log:

~ Connecting...
~ Connected to kundun.ath.cx, waiting for response...
< 220 .::. kundun - ftp server .::.
> USER thomas
< 331 Password required for thomas
> PASS *****
< 230 Logged on
> REST 1
< 350 Rest supported. Restarting at 1
> REST 0
< 350 Rest supported. Restarting at 0
> SYST
< 215 UNIX emulated by FileZilla
> PWD
< 257 "/E:/mp3´s" is current directory.
~ Login completed.
> PORT 192,168,34,100,4,152
! Socket Error: connection reset by peer
~ Could not retrieve directory listing for "/E:/folder/"
~ Disconnected

I´ve checked the permissions (list, read, subdirs), the directorys (e:/folder - is homedirectory) - they are all okay.
I´am behind a router and a firewall. but even with deactivated firewall it doesn´t work. The port and my ip are set on the router.
I even tried the passive mode for the server, as i read it in the forum, but also doesn´t work...

filezilla interface log:

I´am nearly at the end with my knowledge and can´t solve the problem. And what really strange is, is the fact that it worked 2 or 3 days ago - and then it doesn´t - and didn´t changed anything at all...

can anybody help - please?

thanks - zero!

Looks like a problem with either your router or firewall (or maybe both). Have you already read the FAQ in the support forum?

Btw, most firewalls can't really be deactivated, they have to be uninstalled.

I´ve already tried it with deactivated firewalls (the firewall on my pc) but it doesn´t worked!
I´m working with a d-link router. the ports 20 and 21 are allowed and are send to my ip-adress. Is it possible that the router firewall nevertheless blocks the transfer? I don´t know how to deactived the router firewall...

Did you try to turn on passive mode somewhere in the leechftp settings?

yes.. but also didn´t work..

deleted all rules in the router-firewall and typed them in manually - and surprise - it works. can´t say exactly what the fault was, but must be something with the automatical router-firewall settings when installing the virtual ftp server..

anyway - it works!

thank you for your help !!!

bye
