Use FZ to move files INSIDE Remote Server?

#1 Post by thoste » 2013-10-08 10:26

Assume I uploaded a couple of (big) files to the remote ftp server.

Then I decided to put the files in another directory.

Is there a way to use FZ to MOVE these files INSIDE the remote ftp server?
NOT by up/downloading them again?

I expected in the remote dir pane a context menus "cut" and "Paste"

Use Drag&Drop. That's the only way to do it. Note that moving files on the server is actually all you can do - remote copying isn't supported by the FTP protocol.

I'll give this a shot myself. I've just been re-uploading the file(s) to the directory I wanted to move them to. Thanks.

Only precondition is that you need sufficient privileges in both directories, source and target.
