Complaint about xp support

#1 Post by Methen » 2014-06-25 17:05

I just want to say that I think your actions for refusing to provide support for all the people who haven chosen to stay with xp really makes no sense, the only thing you are going to accomplish with that attitude is to drive people away especially people who have been faithful to your product for years...

It's your decision to stay with an unsupported and insecure OS that makes little sense. If you can, upgrade. Don't expect the developer world to care for XP forever, it has run its course (and the dead horse been beaten again and again for the last years). Again - if you can, upgrade, if not, pull the plug.

That being said, 3.8.1 actually runs on XP, but it isn't offered on auto update for that OS. Might be the last version, or not. Heck, version 3.8.0 actually still runs on Windows 2000!

If you don't like Windows Vista, 7, 8 or 8.1, have a look at Debian: http://debian.org/

Um, well let me let you know that I am upset about recent changes too. Windows Server 2003 is still supported by microsoft, /and/ it is still secure as a server operating system.

Did you even try to run it? Because I did, and it still works.
