Hi there,
just stumbled about a strange bug (is ita bug?). FileZilla Client stops transfering files after 320kB when they have an "α"-Character (Alpha) in the filename... Any following files in the queue can't be transfered after that timeout wether having an α or not....
Dunno how this comes, I'm just renaming files now, strange nevertheless....

Transfer timeout when special char in filename

Re: Transfer timeout when special char in filename
FileZilla fully supports the entire Unicode range of characters. It could be that your server cannot handle these characters or that there's some firewall or NAT router between the client and server that breaks the connection.
To rule out firewalls and NAT routers, try using FTP over TLS.

Probably....botg wrote:FileZilla fully supports the entire Unicode range of characters. It could be that your server cannot handle these characters
I was just expecting an error message in such a case and not the transmission of 320k and then a timeout (and hold for the rest of the queue)....
Anyway, renamed the files and everything is transfered properly.
Thank you

Sadly not all servers (or firewalls or NAT routers for that matter) adequately report failure.
