FileZilla Does NOT Support Case-Sensitive Folders/Files?

Hi,

I was using Linux and FileZilla for a long time without problems.
I now am using Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro 64Bit and have problems with FileZilla.

My website has case-sensitive folders and files, which worked OK on Linux FileZilla.
When I download folders and files on Windows 8.1 FileZilla it does not preserve case-sensitivity?
Example: [Files] folder & [files] folder are combined into one folder on Windows 8.1 FileZilla?

How can I configure FileZilla on Windows 8.1 to preserve case-sensitivity?
Thanks!

Jesse

You simply cannot, as Windows does not support case-sensitive files and directories. It's not FileZilla combining them, it's Windows. :(

Hi, the workaround I found was to compress the parent directory on the server to a .zip, then upload the zip to the new server and extract it. That should keep all of the case sensitive names intact.

Well, yes, but it requires physical or shell access to both servers. Not everyone has that.
