I have found a solution to the problem with Version 3.10.0 which worked for me to connect to my web host server which is Hostpapa.
In Filezilla: In the pull down menu choose SITE MANAGER, than create a new site, fill in your password etc for your server, Under encryption choose ONLY USE PLAIN FTP (UNSECURE) hit connect and bingo you should be in. It worked for me.
