How to enable verbose connection dialog/log output? What is "critical error"?

#1 Post by thoste » 2015-02-23 08:21

When I connect to a remote server then it happens occasionally that I got an error as shown in the filezilla window:

530 Login incorrect
Critical error: Could not connect to server

Hmm, this is not very useful.

Can I get a more verbose connection handshake output and comment?

You're not using the correct login credentials.

Please double-check your login credentials. Watch our for character case and leading/trailing whitespace.

If the problem persists, contact your server administrator or server hosting provider for further assistance.
