Where are my settings?

#1 Post by mikeneuer » 2007-06-12 09:02

Hello,

today I installed the new V3 Beta 10 on windows. Up to now, I used the V2 and my settings and sites are stored in the registry. The new beta-version starts without my settings. :-( What do I wrong? Or how can I migrate all my settings and sites from V3 to V3?

Thank you!
Mike

FZ3 stores it settings in %APPDATA%\FileZilla

Importing sites from FZ2 isn't possible yet.

Oh pitty :-( Is there any plan to use the registry too? Or is there a plan to import the settings and suites form version2 in a later beta-version?

Sorry for the silly question, but what are the advantages of the version 3?

Thank you!

FZ3 is a complete rewrite. It's cross-platform and should perform faster than FZ2.

Registry storage won't be implemented in FZ3. A converter to import sites from FZ2 will be written in the future.

Oh, FileZille version 3 is completely rewritten. Waoh. Ok, I wait until the final release comes out. V2 works fine for me.

Thanks to all!
Mike
