I installed Z/F about a year back & had it working from my cat cable to PC where I transferred a few files the occasional files without difficulty.
I tied to connect again & can't quite get it to connect. Whats' different? Windows 10 is causing lots of grief despite have a clean install,I have had the new NBN fiber network installed etc etc.
I'm trying to connect my Topfield PVR to my PC. I know that the cable is working because I was able to update the PRV's firmware through it.
The setting in the PVR for a static wired connection it turned on & I'm told that quality & signal strength are good. The network settings says that I can use connection 192.168.100.200 which seems familiar from before. I also had been told to use 'guest' as an id & '0000' as a password. These 2 are in place & saved.
I have tried numerous times to get connected either through the 'Site Manager' & even quick 'connect' but to no avail.
I think it must be a small obvious thing that I can't see at the moment but I may be wrong since I'm a novice with this sort of thing. Any ideas as to what is the problem by just changing a setting etc?

Re: Problems reconnecting to PVR
As I said I'm a complete novice re this sort of thing. I didn't even realize that the program was making logs. I see a logging option near the bottom of the settings tab but when I try to get program to link with where I had created a folder called Zilezilla log I find area grayed out & doesn't connect to the location. Is this what I'm supposed to do?
Re: Problems reconnecting to PVR
No. The screen log (usually at the top) is always enabled. After re-creating the problem, just copy and paste it here (in tags).

Re: Problems reconnecting to PVR
Here is what you requested.
"Status: Connecting to 192.168.100.200:21...
Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Waiting to retry...

Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity

I note that an extra :21... has been added to number above that I didn't input.

Re: Problems reconnecting to PVR
There does not appear to be a working FTP server at the address you entered.
The extra :21 is the used port. Since 21 is the default port for FTP it doesn't have to be entered in the user interface.
