Unfortunately yes. Even though support for OS X down to 10.7 is explicitly requested when building FileZilla, Xcode silently pulls in OS X features only available on 10.12, it doesn't even print a warning. This is very nasty Xcode bug and from what I can tell, Apple has intentionally broken Xcode and doesn't intend to fix it.

There are supposedly compiler and linker flags to work around this Xcode bug. Integrating them into the build system of FileZilla however is not an easy task.

This is not resolved for me in Filizilla 3.22.2

Under clients OSX 10.11.5 or ubuntu 16.10 with Filezilla 3.22.2 it get the following error for multiple servers

Response: fzSftp started, protocol_version=7
Command: open "XXXX@192.168.XXX.XX" 22
Error: Server unexpectedly closed network connection
Error: Could not connect to server

If I downgrade to filezilla 3.19 I can connect to these servers (did not try newer versions)

One thing I noticed is that from all the servers that i'm unable to connect with Filezila 3.22.2 are running OSX 10.10.5
The servers that are running OSX 10.11.5, I can connect to with Filezilla 3.22.2

updating openSSH on these hosts, did not resolve the issue

Then it's a completely different issue. Please create a new topic with a verbose log.
