Hello
with filezilla 2 there was an option to edit local files.
I hope to see it also on filezilla 3
Thank you

This feature was very important to a lot of people
I hope to see this feature put back in Filezilla 3.x as it was an indespensible tool I used on a daily basis.
Also with the same edit option you could bring in remote files and edit them to. This was the option I used the most.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Editors in general
I used to switch between several editors when I used this feature but the ones I used the most were.
PFE 32 - Professional File Editor
-and-
Crimson Editor
The ability to edit the remote file was a great advantage of using Filezilla.
Thanks
Kobie

Yup, it was handy. I look forward to its return. However, in the meantime, you do realize that you can just drag the file onto your desktop, or into any available folder?
I'm trying to get out of the habit of double-clicking in V3, which if it weren't for my download file-exist settings would have obliterated many local files by now! I MUST DRAG AND DROP! I MUST DRAG AND DROP! I MUST DRAG AND DROP! *ahem*
Anyways, it's a work-around.
By the way, if the file already exists in the target location, you get the regular file-exists dialog/setting. Handy.
I'm still hoping they put it back, though.

[edit: ps. EditPlus is rather good editing remote files, try it]
