Maybe you can use my transfer script : http://nyrodev.free.fr/filezilla/convert.php

It keeps the whole settings if available in the new version.

Thank you, I also have problem found "menu" in site manager until someone told it's "file" on upper left  .

The problem is the "file" word look like the static text, it's a lot easier to recognize it as menu if you just underscore on "f" like standard UI.

Sorry, but *my* software would never throw its users out into the rain like that. Ever heard of DWIM?

Good design: Uninstalling FZ2 then installing FZ3 or installing FZ3 over FZ2 yields identical results: All settings, servers and credentials automatically preserved, no obsolete files or other objects left over.

Bad design: Telling users surprised by FZ3's lack of migration capabilities they have to reinstall FZ2 while removing the required download.

Recommendations:
  • - Create a sticky in this forum with a concise summary of the steps described here and a link into the wiki - I'm sure quite a few users come to the forums first, after all it's listed first in the menu.
    - Put 2.2.32 back online and link to it from the aforementioned sticky and the wiki entry.
To compensate a bit for my inability to conceal my annoyance - FZ2 earned my utmost respect for making access to a server my paid ipswitch software was absolutely unable to connect to absolutely painless - so, kudos (after all it's my own fault for expecting too much)!

FZ3 had been in Beta and RC stages long enough, you should have voiced your opinion back then.

And the 2.2 versions are still up for download, just Sourceforge hides them quite well.

Same here. Lost all my advanced setting for many entries.
