Resume Upload gets file corrupted

#1 Post by anjanesh » 2007-11-10 04:16

Hi

Im on a slow internet connection and Im unable to upload any file (even 5MB) without getting corrupted.

I have a .ftpaccess in my folder containing the setting AllowStoreRestart on inorder to resume, but that that doest help. On finishing upload, the file seems to have been corrupted.

Is it possible that FileZilla Client isnt writing the proper bytes on resume ? Missing bytes ?

Thanks

Ok - 'Connection timed out' happens very often, probably because Im on a slow connection but Im able to successfuly upload via WinSCP (SFTP) - since resume is the default option.

Im guessing that FileZilla is overlapping some bytes or missing them while resuming.

Your log appears to be ending prematurely.

About the timeouts, check your router and firewall configuration. They are disobeying the TCP specifications by timing out perfectly valid connections.

I dont get this. Timeouts are not from the server-side ?
Im on WinXP SP2 and my Firewall is on with FileZill in the exceptions list.

How can the router be responsible ? Im on an ISP which connects directly to the ethernet card. (WAN?)

Try to disable your firewall to see if it makes any difference.
