Neby Q: How to connect with xammp localhost

#1 Post by HpFileZilla » 2015-05-01 11:52

I get the warning when trying to connect to localhost: ECONNREFUSED
What are the username and password and also the status of xammp is saying: no ftp server working (maybe disabled by a firewall)
I use anti exploit from Malwarebytes and malwarebytes and f-secure
How can I connect to "localhost"?
Best
Herbert

Looks like you need an FTP server. Have a look at FileZilla Server.

XAMPP bundles a copy of FileZilla Server. That bundled copy is supported by XAMPP support, not us. My guess is it is disabled by default.

If you follow botg's advice and install the standalone version from here you will receive support. But may I ask why you need FTP on localhost? You can just copy the files the normal way.
No support requests over PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!
FTP connection problems? Please read Network Configuration.
