Commercials after using "Check for update"

#1 Post by scootergrisen » 2017-11-07 08:54

Does using the "Check for update" option in the Help menu download FileZilla Client with commercials?
Even though i choose to download via "Show additional download options" (aka i dont want commercials) prior to that it seems when i use "Check for update" that my choice to not have commercials is discarded.

So how do i update FileZilla without getting commercials?

It can be configured through filezilla.xml, look for "Disable update footer".

Another option is to compile from source.

I don't have "Disable update footer" in filezilla.xml that says

Code: Select all

<FileZilla3 version="3.29.0" platform="windows">
I have "Disable update check".

You can add it if it's missing.
