False positive detected on 3.37.4?

#1 Post by omfgkaz » 2018-10-05 12:56

Hi guys!, I have grabbed the 3.37.4 update on FileHippo, but it was detected as a virus on Avira.

Anyone does have this issue?

As long as you download from https://filezilla-project.org/ it's a false-positive, there is no virus in the installer. Do not download FileZilla from third-party websites.

I was also getting a false positive from malwarebytes even with downloading from the filezilla-project website. I had to shutdown malwarebytes before installing and restarting it once finished.
