I've got hosting from HostGator and I'm using their free SSL. I know the cert is valid and has not expired. This can be checked easily.
But when I try to connect via FTP using FileZilla I get a 'Unknown certificate' warning.
The Valid to field shows: 16/10/2018 00:59:59 - Certificate expired!
The Host field show: www.****.com:21 - Hostname does not match certificate
(**** being my domain)
The 'Always trust certificate in future sessions' option is greyed out'
I've checked the SSL on sslshopper.com and everything get a green tick, including the expiry date.
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Deleted, wrong assumption.
Re: FileZilla showing Certificate as expired
@boco: FileZilla always displays times using the user's local time zone.
@macsuibhne: Could the webserver by chance use a different certificate than the FTP server?

Re: FileZilla showing Certificate as expired
Hallo,
when I connect to my NAS, I also get the message "Certificate expired".
I do not get a new certificate for my NAS (badly supported)
The problem I have is that the checkbox "Always trust the certificate" is grayed out.
(I am sure, I can trust my own NAS)
As I can't mark the checkbox, I always have to reconfirm, that I want to use the NAS.
(This happens several times, if I want to update multiple folders on the NAS in one step)
Why is the checkbox grayed out ?
Does someone know, how I can tell the Filezilla client, that I want to trust my NAS in future ?

Re: FileZilla showing Certificate as expired
If you cannot replace your NAS' certificate you need to return it to your vendor and demand a refund. With that money you purchase a new NAS where you can renew the certificate.
Re: FileZilla showing Certificate as expired
Expired certificates are invalid. You cannot permanently trust invalid certificates with FileZilla.
