Not Connecting with iPhone WiFi Hotspot after IOS 12 Update

Hello guys,
Here's a weird one I come to seek help on. I upload all my files through my iPhone 6's personal hotspot. It works excellent and fast through T-Mobile, however I updated my phone from IOS 11.whatever to IOS 12.1 last night. All of a sudden, now I'm receiving these timeout messages, and I'm completely unable to connect to my server.
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Waiting to retry...
Status: Resolving address of (FTP)
Status: Connecting to (server address)
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Disconnected from server
Most importantly, I can still log on to Facebook, use google, open web pages, and everything else just fine with my phone's wifi, at normal/high speeds.
Now if I disconnect from my phone's wifi hotspot and connect to my home wifi, I get...
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Status: Initializing TLS...
Status: Verifying certificate...
Status: TLS connection established.
Status: Logged in
It works perfectly fine and I can upload to my heart's content. For some reason, FileZila does not like my phone's hotspot now that the phone got updated. I spent two hours on the phone with Apple and did a factory reset on my phone and still, the problem persists. Any ideas?
