Macbook Pro not connecting to server host

I keep getting this message when trying to connect from my MacBook Pro:
Status: Resolving address of wcet3.waketech.edu
Status: Connecting to 198.86.248.67:21...
Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Waiting to retry...
Status: Resolving address of wcet3.waketech.edu

Error: Could not connect to server
I have tried everything I know! I can connect with other computers. I tried another (older) mac and a pc and both worked fine. I need help please!
