Hello,
I have this version of FileZilla Client

Compiled with: i686-w64-mingw32-gcc (GCC) 6.3.0 20170516
Compiler flags: -msse -mfpmath=sse -O2 -g -Wall

Linked against:
wxWidgets: 3.0.5
SQLite: 3.26.0
GnuTLS: 3.6.6

Operating system:
Name: Windows 7 (build 7601, Service Pack 1)
Version: 6.1
Platform: 32-bit system
CPU features: sse sse2 sse3 ssse3 sse4.1 sse4.2 avx aes pclmulqdq rdrnd lm
Settings dir: C:\Users\hp\AppData\Roaming\FileZilla\

When triyng to upload an auto extractible WinRAR file, I get this message (in French) :

Commande : STOR InterditsCircuitBronze.exe
Réponse : 150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for InterditsCircuitBronze.exe
Réponse : 550 Virus Detected and Removed: Win.Malware.Uztuby-6815912-0
Erreur : Échec du transfert du fichier
Statut : Récupération du contenu du dossier "/Comite_MB"...
Statut : Contenu du dossier "/Comite_MB" affiché avec succès
Statut : Déconnecté du serveur

I have a paid version of WinRAR which is 5.62 and when I try to upload the file, the process stops saying a malware is detected : Uztuby-6815912-0.
With Eset, Kaspersky, TrendMicro, I have no warning at all when inspecting the file.

Is this issue known ?

Thanks'
Philippe

The error message comes straight from the server. They use an integrated virus scanner that is detecting the EXE stub of WinRAR as Malware. You need to contact server support so they can fix their false positive issue.

Hello,
Thank you for this response.
The fact is when I use the integrated File Transfer function provided by Infomaniak, the upload is successful for the same file.
If the message came straight from the server as you wrote, because of a virus detection, I believe it woult be the same usint FileZilla and the integrated upload function.
Am I right ?

Philippe

Does the built-in upload functionality of your host use FTP?
