connection times out

I cannot seem to connect to upload my files. Can anyone tell by my message below what the problem is?

And when I do the FTP test I get this....

Error: Peer certificate chain received in wrong order. The TLS specifications require that each certificate in the chain must directly certify the one preceeding it.
A valid certificate is required for FTP over TLS. The certificate may either be signed by a CA or may be self-signed.
If your certificate is expired or uses an insecure algorithm, you need to create a new certificate.
If your certificate is part of a chain, make sure your server transmits the entire certificate chain.

I don't know what any of this means. Can someone help?

That's something you need to tell your server administrator or server hosting provider so that the server can be fixed.

OK, well, I sent him the screen shot too so hopefully he will respond today. He was able to connect using my username and password. Is that possible when he is where the server is? (see, I told you I don't understand these things.)

Yes. For example if a firewall is causing problems and sits behind the same firewall as the server, then he won't be affected by this firewall.

In any way, as long as https://ftptest.net/ reports a problem, the server isn't configured 100% correctly.

Concerning functionality, if the server is configured correctly, it shouldn't matter which client you are using. If the server isn't configured correctly, different clients may behave differently.

Apart from functionality there's also security, make sure to use a secure-by-default client such as FileZilla.

I have and I even sent screenshots but he hasn't responded. Guess I will lean on him a little. I even downloaded the same FTP program he uses on my PC (I usually work on an Apple device) and it still wouldn't connect.
