SFTP
We have been advised to use this as opposed to FTP for uploading our files but does something need to be changed on the hosting?
Re: SFTP
The host has to support SFTP (it needs to have an SFTP server or SSH2 server with SFTP feature set enabled running).
If you have been advised by your hosting provider, it already supports SFTP (otherwise, that advice would be nonsensical). All you have to do is using the new server address the host provided you with.
(Please, do not put commercial URLs into the signature, profile or posts, as it is not allowed and asks for a ban. Thank you.)
