Filezilla 3.44.1 updateproblem

#1 Post by JoBa63 » 2019-08-16 12:05

Hallo,

Hello,

I use Filezilla 3.44.1 under macOS 10.11.6 (El Capitan - for various reasons I can not reach 10.12.x or higher). Now Filezilla called the update on 3.44.2 to install, which - with permission without warning - no longer runs under macOS 10.11.6, but min. 10.13.2 requires.

My problem is that with each call of Filezilla the update window rises, the installation proceeds incorrectly and the process does not stop or delete leaves off - who an idea.

Danke Jo

Specifically, how do I get the message (1) at startup again ....

Filezilla delete - including the Liberay data (2) - and reinstallation does not succeed. At each start the update window is displayed - although in the settings the automatic update search (3) is OFF.

There is a difference between checking for updates, and displaying known updates. Make sure checking for updates is enabled on a daily interval and try again.

Note that you will get further support only while being on the latest version.

Temporary workaround (until you can upgrade the OS):
1. Set "Check Updates" to "Never".
2. Enable Debug menu in the Settings.
3. Use "Debug - Clear Autoupdate data" once.
4. Disable Debug menu again.
No support requests over PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!
