This is probably not possible, but I'll ask anyway.
I would like to have an easy way to edit a local or remote file in my editor on my Mac. I see I can use the context sensitive menu and choose edit, but I was wondering if there was an easier way, like having double-click do edit instead of transfer, or putting an edit icon in the toolbar.
Thanks,
doug
Can we change double-click to edit a file instead of transfer it?

Settings - Interface - File lists - Double-click action on files = "View/Edit"

Thanks!
That seems to work well for local files. For remote files it's buggy though. For remote files it invariably says the local file (with incomplete filename) is already being edited, even if it isn't, and it asks if you want to re-open the local file or discard the local file, download and start anew.
If you ignore the erroneous warning and just click ok,it will open the file though.
But it is a minor bug.

You must tell FileZilla when you are done editing a file. There is a checkbox for this on the "upload back" dialog. FileZilla does not take paths into consideration, only filenames.
