Stop the prompt to upload a changed file?

Stop the prompt to upload a changed file?

I notice if I edit a file locally and have the remote pane open a dialog pops up to ask me if I want to upload it, continue editing, or whatever. While I see how that might be convenient, I find it interfering. Is there a way to turn that feature off? I pretty much know when I'm ready to upload changes. :)
