Preserving the time stamp when transferring

#1 Post by douglerner » 2019-10-23 02:16

I have the "preserve the time stamp" option set. But after transfer, the remote server shows the time of transfer, rather than the modified date/time of the file I uploaded. Is there a way to actually preserver the time stamps?

Thanks,

doug

1. Preserving timestamps on download should always work.

2. Preserving timestamps on upload requires the FTP server to have support for the MFMT command. Does your server support this (check the response to the FEAT command)?

Hello -

I am trying to download a copy of my website onto my local computer and want the actual file dates modified to appear. But when I download the website it lists the date modified as today/the day I do the transfer.

I used to be able to download copies of the site so I could maintain a series of archives with actual file dates on them.

Is there a way to do this or is this a feature that no longer exists in the program.

Please don't cross-post. Answered in the other topic. Closing this.
