File items to text?

Hello. Glad to be here. I'm migrating. What I need is to have a list of files on the remote server kick off to a text file. I was thinking maybe a DOS command might take care of that, but I must admit, my DOS and CPM brain is a little rusty. Does anyone have a suggestion to get me a hard cope list of files or a tree from the remote server? Perhaps there's a piece of software that would give me a tree of the remote files.
