Response: 530 Login authentication failed Error

I cannot log onto my server. Every time I attempt to login I get :
Response: 530 Login authentication failed
Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server

Can you please help?

Doesn't anyone have any ideas how to remedy my situation. I cannot update my website because I cannot connect to the Filezilla server.

You need to contact the server server support staff. We cannot do anything about account-related problems.

Before further questions arise: No, we do not (read: can not) know who is responsible for the server you're connecting to. Best advice is to follow your money. The people you are paying for hosting usually also run the server.

I did post this to the server support staff forum and they gave me the same reply. Is there a physical phone number to contact customer service and get this resolved? I cannot login and therefore cannot make changes to my website.
