Installation

I am attempting to install Filezilla on a iMac, running Catalina 10.15.4, and prompted to reinstall the new version of Folezilla . I removed the older version and then ownloaded FileZilla_3.47.2.1_macosx-x86.app.tar.
The application installs on my desktop but is not included within the Launchpad (older versions were).
Is this normal?
