Hello Filezilla memebers, I have a problem with The last version of filezilla. I have searched a solution everywhere. hope you can help.
I am trying to download the file of my website via filezilla.(Ftp) I suppose the parameters are right, because I connect to the server and I download the file for 15 minutes.
Each time the connection stops. I get the massage "waiting for the welcome message" again and again.
I' ve enabled the "force the connection to keep alive"
I 've tried to.disable the firewall and I have tried all the encryption connection.
Same problem with another server on another hosting.
Any suggestion?
thanks

Re: Filezilla Disconnection
Sounds like a firewall interfering with the connection.

Re: Filezilla Disconnection
thank you for the reply. I have disabled the firewall. still not working. I've tried Winspc this morning and it worked. I cannot understand why filezilla is not working. Maybe I can try an older version of filezilla?

Re: Filezilla Disconnection
Hi, I have the same problem with the ver. 3.48.1
A large file (20 GB) fails to upload, the server answer "Sending command keep-alive", but finally disconnect. If I overwrite, the client fail at 20%, if resume, fails inmediatly and server answer 550 Permission denied.
A month before this files uploads with no problems. Files less than 10 GB upload with no problem.
The server is FileZilla Server.
With other servers file upload with no problem.

@aryanna_p: What about a server-side firewall?
@Elkan76: No, you don't have the same problem, you even get different error messages.

Re: Filezilla Disconnection
@botg: They may be different, but there are many elements in common, such as the "keep-alive" message. Yesterday I tried from the server side to download the file instead of uploading it, by command line and I had no problems.
Shall I make a new thread, or shall we continue discussing it here?
@aryanna_p: This is your first file trying to download from a server, or you have another files from past month? It is to know if the problem is indeed a client version or if there is a port block as suggested by @botg
