I just updated to the latest version of Filezilla. I've been using Filezilla successfully for years. Now, I can't connect to my server. I get the following:

I'm totally lost. Can anyone help?

The FTP functionality hasn't changed in recent versions, which means that something else must have changed about the same time you updated.

Could you please test your server on https://ftptest.net/ ?

The server test was successful. Does that mean there is something wrong at my hosting service? Thank you for your help!

No, actually the opposite: The server is at your hosting provider's place, so, a successful test means there is nothing wrong with their server.

Using your client, can you connect to other servers (like ftp.gnu.org) or does it fail, too?

O.K., I think my problem is with the security (or lack thereof) associated with my web site. Firefox, Edge, and Chrome have decided not to let me access my own web site. This is a relatively new thing. I will get with my hosting provider and see how to fix this. Thank you all for helping me get to the bottom of this.

O.K. All fixed. My IP address was blocked by someone / something. The guys at my hosting service unblocked it for me. I can now use FileZilla to my heart's content.
