Slow download/upload from Windows server 2016

Hello community,

I have a 1gb fiber connection between my computer (FileZilla latest) and my Windows server 2016 (builtin FTP server). But can't get faster than 1.7mb/s on both upload and download.
No firewall and it's a real dedicated server.

Any clues?

Thank you.

What's the ping time between the machines?

Have you tried a different FTP server yet, such as FileZilla Server?

Hello,

Ping time is: 69.5 (average)
Filezilla server tested: nope.

Thank you.

Latency is nothing unusual, you should get much faster speeds than 1.7 millibit/s

Do you by chance have a speed limit set in FileZilla, the server or some firewall in-between?

Hello,

None for FileZilla.
For Windows and the Firewall, I didn't play with it neither know where are those limits.

Thank you.

If all the settings are good I would check the network cable from the machine to the switch, swap out a new or another known good cable for testing.

I presume you have done this already but even the best techs sometimes skip the simple answer. A simple dirty connection can really mess with speeds and be missed by most scans
