Filezilla not seeing my remote usb storage device on my computer

Filezilla is not seeing my remote usb storage device on my computer, I have 2 USB ports, one used for the mouse, the other which I plug my storage device into. Filezilla sees all my files on my computer hard drive but not the remote???

Your drive should show up under /Volumes
Make sure you allow FileZilla to access the device if prompted to by macOS, you can also grant permission on the Privacy and Security page of macOS' settings.

Thank you so much! the firewall was turned on, once turned off Filezilla was able to see my usb storage device in the Volumns folder.

Weird, a firewall conceptually shouldn't affect USB at all.
