Error Message Copying a File

I am trying to copy a 40 Mbyte *.mdb Access database file from my C: drive to the _private folder on my web site using FileZilla FTP. I had to force FileZilla to show hidden files, since this directory is a hidden FrontPage directory. When I try to copy the file, FileZilla reports 550 Access is denied, and says there is a critical file transfer error. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong? I clearly have access or I wouldn't be able to see all of the folders and files. Thanks.

Well, there is more than one type of access. Being able to see files and directories, you have at least List access. If you can download/retrieve files and directories, you have at least Read access.

However, as you are getting 550 Access is denied, you do NOT seem to have any Write access to that location. That's a configuration issue only the FTP server administrator can fix. You need to contact server support.
