Filezilla is not showing the subfolders in the root

Filezilla shows me the root folder but none of the subfolders in it. See this screenshot

My site is hosted at a VPS and CSF firewall is installed in the server. I thought it could
be the firewall so I deactivated. But it wasn't, the subfolders did not show in the root.
I checked the FTP ports in the WHM.They were all set for FTP.
I thought it could be Filezilla so I tried with Core FTP. Same result: no subdirectories shown.
Can anyone help?

If it affects multiple clients, the issue is server-side.

Please check your server configuration.
