Lack of the total transfer's speed indicator

Hi,
I've always found quite strange the lack of the indicator of the total speed transfer: this is something almost indispensable, in my opinion. How can I know how is going on the transfer of multiple file without such a data shown? There are many other less useful indicators, but not this one!
Would it be possible to implement it in future versions?
