Windows 7 just updated filezilla to 3.56.2 everything working as normal but local files and folders are not showing anything. The default local folder comes up empty. If i bring up same folder location in windows file explorer it shows files. If i drag a zip file over to the filezilla local window it says already exists but shows nothing. I reinstalled the same version same thing nothing showing.

This is crazy. I just uninstalled it three times and reinstalled it. Last time I deleted all the APP data and reinstalled it. I had to setup everything again. It connects but still nothing appears in the local files window.

Just installed WinScp and imported sites from filezilla automaticaly. Connects and shows all local files and folders. Hmmmm

Menu View - Directory listing filters... - Do you have enabled any of them on the local side?

Thanks for the reply. No filters checked. I saw that searching the forum. First thing i checked. Went through all the settings nothing changed. All app data deleted and fresh install. Still the same very strange.

Still trying to fix this. I copied all the APPDATA from another computer with a working (Same version) copy of FileZilla to the problem one. FileZilla loads but still no local files or folders showing.

Are you sure you are logged into Windows as "Administrator"?

Yes logged in as administrator

Explorer actually doesn't show the actual directories, it deceives the user and shows an amalgamation of the contents of multiple directories. Try the public Desktop under C:\Users\Public\Desktop

FileZilla always shows things the way they actually are.

I actually just searched the forum for this exact issue. I updated my Filezilla yesterday, and since then I experience the exact same problem.

I also use Win7.

I tried suggested fixes without success.

It's very strange because I have another computer with Windows 7 and did the update and everything is fine. Definitely something wrong with the update.

Windows 7 is not a supported operating system, it is outdated and insecure. You need to update to a more modern operating system.
