Automatically transfer filetype from local folder to remote folder

#1 Post by JustStoppingBy » 2021-11-18 05:22

Computer-illiterate user here. I just purchased a yearly subscription to FileZilla and am trying to figure out how to monitor a folder for a certain filetype and transfer that filetype to a remote folder on a server. My research lead me to believe that this might have something to do with filetype associations but after researching for a couple of hours I thought it might spare me time and anxiety to ask these forums. Can anybody help me resolve this?

FileZilla and FileZilla Pro (the versions with a graphical interface) cannot do any automated actions. They are designed for interactive use, only.

FileZilla Pro CLI (command line version) can do automated transfers with the use of a script (that you would have to write yourself). What it cannot do is watching directories for certain conditions which will trigger actions. You need other software for that.
