'Could not start transfer' error

#1 Post by bigkitty » 2021-11-19 23:52

Trying to download a file from an SFTP server.

It looks like I'm connected, and I do see the file, but when I go to download it, it says "Could not start transfer" over and over.

I saw in other tickets that it would be best to get the log files, but when I went to enable it in settings, I'm supposed to input a Filename. I put the name of the file as it came up in the Remote site pane, but I guess that wasn't what it wanted....

It wants the name of a file to store the log in. The proposed "filezilla.log" usually works fine.

The log is also displayed on screen, at the top. Errors are usually in red. But, as they often scroll out of reach quickly, posting the relevant parts of a log file is better.
