I am currently running FIlezilla Server 0.9.41beta on Windows 2016- client ver 3.5.1 I would like to upgrade to the latest and greatest - version 1.2. In during research, I see performing a straight upgrade will more than likely break a few things but will version 3.5.1 work on the newest server 1.x. I've tried researching but can't find much. Ideas?

Well, we don't know and don't care, either, as that version is out of fashion since, forever. Exactly like your server version. Both suffer from countless security issues.
Please upgrade your server to 1.2.0, as well as your client to 3.57.0. Support is only given for the very latest versions, sorry.
