Upload to server after local edit not working
Hi, I just updated Filezilla to version 3.59.0 and edited a test file locally using Notepad++ (ver 8.2.1) as I have done with previous version of Filezilla (3.55.1) and Notepad++ (ver 7.8.7). Previously once I return to Filezilla it presented a panel headed "file has changed" and asks if you want to upload the file back to the server. With the new version of Filezilla I no longer get this prompt.
Any ideas how to fix this ?

There is currently a bug with triggering the upload prompt, already scheduled for a fix. In the meantime, clicking FileZilla's title bar for bringing it to the front should work around that.

Re: Upload to server after local edit not working
Thank goodness this is getting looked into. I have noticed many things from time to time and sometimes I feel like since I use a Mac/Catalina, it is just not important to look at. I was just coming n here to re-post about my issue with no more drag/drop from the server window to my editor working well but when saved after editing I have to either make a copy to upload in the original file place or not get things to work after editing.
I would prefer to have that little "file has changed" window than not be able to use this program...I have used it for eons (since around 1999) and really do not wish to use a different one.
As I said, my ability to drag/drop from the FileZilla server-side window to my actual folder on my desktop is no longer working, now I can drag/drop into the server-side window with no issues.

Drag and drop from FileZilla's remote side into Finder was never there to begin with on macOS.I use a Mac/Catalina[...]As I said, my ability to drag/drop from the FileZilla server-side window to my actual folder on my desktop is no longer working, now I can drag/drop into the server-side window with no issues.

Re: Upload to server after local edit not working
That is so weird, been told that, and yet for the past 10+ years I have been doing that with every version of FZ until this update. I have been able to click the item in the server-side (remote I guess) window then click/hold to drag it to either the desk side of the pane or the open folder on my computer hard drive or externals. I did this with each version of Mac OS also, I will admit though since this Catalina I am not able to do a whole lot of things that used to be done for sure...LOL
Re: Upload to server after local edit not working
Strange. Drag and Drop between the sides in FileZilla should work fine. However, dragging and dropping to or from the outside of FileZilla would require a shell extension, which is available for Windows only.

Re: Upload to server after local edit not working
Weird, as I say...LOL But it is true until this latest update, I could drag from FZ and drop it anywhere on the computer desktop or folders and my externals. So it might be just something that Mac changed on their end like not letting my Photoshop CS6 or any of the previous programs prior to this version I have to work right. It would be great if there was a terminal command to enter to which it would work, like the one they made for showing the invisible files once more.

The introduction of Gatekeeper has changed the game for many. It's like UAC for Windows, where old software often struggles, too.

THANK YOU FZ
I lost my post about some things that stopped working, like the ability to edit files and get the notification box asking if it was good to save yet.
Seems with the last fix it got fixed and now when I edit a file and save on my comp it is now automatic again to have the notice telling me to save again.
