On Sunday I upgraded to FileZilla 3.59.0. I've been downloading the same file every day for about 10 years and after upgrading, I can't download it any more. It hangs - the first time it almost always hangs a 2.1%. I can restart the download and sometimes it gets farther (like 4%) but it never moves beyond that. I changed the time out to 0 but that didn't help. I have no clue how to fix this. I have an automated way to download the file, but it often takes 3-4 times longer than using FileZilla. The file is almost 14 gb in size.

Which protocol are you using?

FYI, I started one this morning an hour ago just to see if it would work during the day. It got to 5.7% very quickly and has been sitting there for an hour. I can't find any logs for Filezilla and didn't find anything in the event viewer.

Is there any way to go back to the previous version without having to recreate my profiles? I can't complete our data warehouse updates at night using the automated way - I really want to use Filezilla.

Downgrading is not a supported use-case.

I just wanted to update you. Downloads continue to hang when run from the server. I even tried a 2 gb file and that hung. I let one download run all day and it never finished. I then tried 2 different things. I installed Filezilla on my pc and the download ran fine. Unfortunately it was going to take 1 1/2 hours to move it to the server. I thought maybe something was affecting the download on the server but I installed a different package and that one downloaded the 13 gb file in 20 minutes - no issues at all. I prefer Filezilla. Do you have any suggestions?

Which SFTP server software (product and version) are you using?

This problem started when I moved to FileZilla 3.59.0. I found that WinSCP 5.19.6 works without an issue.

I misunderstood the question. We do not have any SFTP Server software installed. We have always relied on our vendor to have the sftp server and we have simply downloaded their file every night. Been doing it this way for about 10 years.

In that case, you must ask them what they run exactly. There might be known issues with that product/version.
