It works sometimes, other times it just starts in the local home directory ( breaking synchonized browsing previously set up)
im trying to point it at /dev/sda3 (which is mounted) but its own file selector only sees the local drive it is installed on / on dev/sda1
Anyone throw me a hint?

Are you using the binaries provided by us or are you using a third-party build? In case of a third-party build, contact your third-party vendor for support.

That's the repository version from the *buntu Package Manager. It's a third-party build not supported here.

Try the Linux x64 build from here (built for Debian Buster but might work on other modern distros).
Building from source is also an option. Executables built from the official sources are supported.
